parts. With our NYCAST® Near Net Shape castings process, we are able to minimize cost for serial parts
or custom shapes. In the anionic polymerization process, the liquid raw material is poured into a mold
and takes its shape due to the low viscosity of the material (water thin). After a few minutes, the
material polymerizes and hardens. The part can now be taken out of the mold in its preformed shape.
The following machining of the part is now minimal. This process is more cost effective than machining
cast nylon from stock shapes or molding parts from other materials.
The main advantages of NYCAST Near Net Shape Castings are:
